My husband and I were looking for a perfect little "cabin in the woods" kind of setting for a romantic getaway to celebrate our 23rd anniversary. After searching on the internet, we took a chance on Campers Paradise. What an awesome trip it was! CP was perfect because the setting was so woodsy and private, yet just minutes away we were stunned to find many options such as fishing, hiking, horse back riding, kayaking and a perfect little restaurant, Iron Mountain Grill. We LOVED the Dakota Cabin. It was so perfect. The hot tub was great, the little blue flame heater was warm and cozy, cooking breakfast over a fire was great. The camp store was great too. It was all great and everyone was so nice. It was the perfect getaway. We will be back to visit the Dakota cabin again!
A very nice open place. Some lady's at the desk are a bit slow and don't know what you are talking about. Other than that it's really nice.
We stayed in the Denali Cabin for a weekend. This is the only cabin that comes with linens included. The cabin was bigger than we were expecting. The beds were all comfortable. The place was super clean. The kitchen was big (which is good because we cooked all of our meals for the weekend there) and there was a big table for us to sit around. There was a nice deck out back with a hot tub. The hot tub was also clean and great to hang out in. We plan on returning in the future.
Very wooded campsites, but still easy to park. Not the campground's fault, but little to no cell reception in the area. Be sure to look things up and make plans before you get here.
In regard to other reviews. We did not feel nickeled and dimed. Although we did not need to use the parking pass it was explained to us that if we did their would be a deposit put down so they could get you an electric key pass to the gate and the deposit would be returned when the key pass was returned. This seems reasonable to me. There was also a deposit that we had to put down when we stayed in the cabin to cover any damages we may have caused. Our deposit was returned to us a few days after we left and they saw we left no damages. Again this seems reasonable.
I think if they had wider roads with bigger corners and there sites were every other site or further away from each other I'd give it 5 stars.
Very nice campground. I really wish the girl when checking in was more helpful or knowledgeable about campground. I drove threw other campgrounds while there and this was by far the nicest. Beautiful pool and campground was very clean & well kept. I only give it 3 stars as I feel they couldn't put each campsite any closer. I'm not a fan of camping on top of each other, I'd be a little upset if my neighbor had a campfire 5 ft from my new trailer. I really wish these older campgrounds would update for today's campers. It was very tough driving a big fifth wheel around in the campground.
